Software Tester Job Opening in Fairmont, West virginia - Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) is seeking potential candidates to fill an anticipated Software Tester I position to work in our Fairmont, WV office. The Software Tester I will participate in a team as a software tester within an environment that frequently changes direction requiring focus on different tasks.
Responsibilities:
Perform manual software application testing and evaluation to identify and report potential defects across multiple platforms * Conduct functional, end-to-end, integration, regression, user acceptance, and other testing as deemed necessary * Create and utilize test plans, use cases, and test scripts to guide the testing process and execute testing strategies * Develop, implement, and maintain test data throughout testing activities * Participate in requirement reviews, functional demonstrations, user acceptance sessions, and test planning discussions * Assist in the creation of technical documentation and work flows for software applications, test plans, or security testing
Desired Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of system testing concepts and life cycles * Knowledge of software development life cycles * Ability to review and understand technical documentation (user stories, requirements, data models, etc.) * Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies * Must have analytical skills and be detail oriented
Minimum Education and Training Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Software Engineering preferred * Equivalent on the job experience or training will be considered and HMS will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience as indicated above to fulfill the position description
