Automation Test Engineer Job Opening in Fairmont, West virginia - Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS)is seeking potential candidates to fill an anticipated Automation Test Engineer position to work in our Fairmont, WV or Columbia, MD office. The Automation Test Engineer will plan, develop, implement, and execute automated testing of system components, functionality, and services across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
Conduct automated regression, functionality, end-to-end, integration, data comparisons, and user acceptance testing for all assigned projects to identify potential defects while providing test summary reports * Prepare and execute automated testing to cover performance, stress, and load testing activities as needed * Maintain automated tests ensuring that critical test paths are adequately covered throughout testing and maintenance activities * Create and utilize test plans, use cases, and test scripts to guide automated testing activities * Develop, implement, and maintain test data throughout testing activities * Participate in requirement reviews, functional demonstrations, user acceptance sessions, and test planning discussions * Develop and/or assist in the creation of technical documentation, processes, and work flows as needed * Lead assigned automated testing activities ensuring all activities meet scheduled deadlines and process adherence * Participate in a team environment that frequently changes direction requiring focus on different tasks * Collaborate with project teams to ensure appropriate test automation and coverage of ongoing testing activities * Identify and develop innovative solutions to resolve ongoing challenges and/or streamline testing activities
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience with various coding languages, particularly JAVA is required * Experience with data models and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Access, MySQL) is required * Experience with Selenium is preferred * Experience with the HP Test Suite, particularly HP Performance Center is preferred * Strong knowledge of system testing concepts and processes * Strong knowledge of software development life cycles * Ability to review, develop, and understand technical documentation is required * Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies * Must have analytical skills and be detail oriented
Minimum Education and Training Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Software Engineering required * Minimum of 2 years of experience in test automation and/or software development activities * Equivalent on the job experience or training will be considered and HMS will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience as indicated above to fulfill the position description
