FCi Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator at the National Visa Center (NVC) near Portsmouth, NH. NVC is responsible for processing all approved U.S. Visa petitions and plays a critical role in U.S. security and transforming immigrant?s lives.
This position requires 1.5 years of systems administration experience with 2.5 years being preferred. In addition, this role will support, operation and maintenance of computing assets as well as other computing equipment such as workstations and small server systems.
Specific duties include operating system installation, configuration and maintenance as well as installation of supporting software and troubleshooting user and system issues.
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate status and issues clearly across teams, management and with team members.
Windows Server 2008+ administration required.
Windows 7 Desktop Administration
Active Directory Administration
Hardware Setup ? Desktop and Server
Experienced troubleshooting client/server connectivity issues from an application perspective.
Able to work in a team environment
1-3 years? experience as a Systems Administrator or related experience.
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience can be substituted.
