Revenue Accountant Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - The Revenue Accountant performs all functions of the revenue process with limited supervision. The person is responsible for updating monthly worksheets and uploading the information into the Excalibur system. This individual will be a hands-on, self-motivated, highly organized and creative professional that can interface effectively with Operations, Production Accounting and Financial Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare monthly spreadsheets for operated wells
-Record revenue from check stubs received from various purchasers
-Prepare regulatory reports for various state and federal government taxing authorities.
-Respond to Royalty owner inquiries
-Coordinate revenue check mailings
-Maintain electronic revenue records
-Revenue special projects as assigned
-Copying/scanning revenue source documentation for audit requests and other special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline 5+ years? experience in accounting, with at least 3 years of Oil and Gas Revenue Accounting experience
-Knowledge of Excalibur, preferred
-Highly analytical, and overall ability to thoroughly understand issues and foresee all complexities --Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
-Experience working in a continuously changing environment
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
-Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail Ability to effectively manage projects and prioritize deliverables in order to meet deadlines
