Assistant Scheduling Coordinator (Home Healthcare) Job Opening in Canton, Ohio - Place of Employment: Work from Belden Village Office
Accountable To: Scheduling Coordinator
Job Summary: Utilizes the Homecare software to coordinate home health care scheduling under the supervision of the Branch Manager and Clinical Director for clients in their primary place of residence with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency/source. Updates and maintains the schedule on a regular basis. Answers and takes telephone calls from clinical staff. Maintains a close connection with Branch Manager and Clinical Director for communication of admission needs and staff availability. Coordinates the scheduling of all uncovered visits for clinicians who are off, sick or unable to fulfill scheduled shifts. Works closely with on-call nursing staff for communication of schedule changes.
Work Hours: This is a part-time position (20 hours/wk) that can grow into a full-time position. This position may require various shifts at various times (including nights & weekends).
Duties: The following list of duties is a guideline of possible duties to be performed independently or as a group of duties in the course of working with the client and family. The Scheduler?s duties are not limited to those listed.
Be responsible for day-to-day staffing of cases, problem solving, ensuring customer satisfaction
Scheduling and data entry experience is required
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and clients
Ability to coordinate many activities at once.
Follows all privacy policies and maintains the confidentiality of protected healthcare information.
Implements plan of care initiated by the registered nurse.
Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the CarePlan.
Ensures that Caregivers are following CarePlans and submitting each visit.
Qualifications:
Able to supervise (instruct, assign work, etc.)
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Compassionate, patient and caring nature.
Able to work in a stressful environment.
Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of scheduling.
Must be 18 years of age or older
No previous criminal history
Must have Ohio State ID
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Outstanding personal and professional references
General Notes: The Scheduler will be required to maintain a safe working environment for themselves and AnswerCare?s clients. There may be emergency situations where the Scheduler will have to react quickly with sound judgement. The scope of duties described in this document may not include all duties to be performed by the Scheduler and is subject to change.
