We operate eight community health centers in Jackson, Rockcastle, Garrard, Estill and Madison Counties, Kentucky. White House Clinics has an opening within the IT department for an IT Specialist. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who may be at any stage in their IT career and looking for a solid, stable organization where they can grow and learn.
Typical Job Responsibilities
Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
Verify functionality of hardware and software components
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions
Work with 3rd party IT vendors to maintain servers, network, backups, and other IT systems
Participate in and eventually lead projects that may vary in complexity and may include internal and external parties
Qualifications
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field
2+ years? experience in computer networks and systems
Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Focus on delivering customer service with a positive and patient attitude
Experience with various IT hardware (computers, monitors, external USB devices, printers, phone systems, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7 / 10, Windows Server 2008 and above)
General networking experience; Brocade switching, Cisco routing is a plus
Basic understanding of virtual machines (VMWare) is a plus
Desire to learn and growth technical knowledge
