Director of Quality Resources and Risk Management Job Opening in Utica, New york - This position is located in Little Falls, NY
The Director of Quality Resources and Risk Management is an administrative position reporting to the President with direct responsibility for Quality, Risk, Patient Safety, Patient Experience, Joint Commission Accreditation, Compliance, Case Management, Social Work, and Medical Staff Services. The Director develops strategic plans and policies for improved quality throughout the hospital, works with staff to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and leads the advancement of our Relationship-Based Care culture. The Medical Social Worker/Supervisor of Case Management, Medical Staff Coordinator, and Quality Resources Assistant report to the Director of Quality Resources and Risk Management.

Requirements:
General office environment with significant computer time, however, routine standing and walking is required.
Occasionally push, pull and lift objects/equipment weighing less than ten pounds.
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in Healthcare or related field, required. Master?s degree preferred.
Experience:
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferred.
Five (5) years experience in a healthcare setting, specifically in the areas of quality, patient safety, process improvement, patient experience, or risk management, required.
One (1) year experience researching, , and presenting data, required.
One (1) year experience in incident investigation and , required.
Previous supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership, required.
Lean and/or Six Sigma, and Project Management experience, preferred.
Certifications:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or other relevant certification required or ability to complete within 18 months from date of hire.

Must demonstrate a passion, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to improving patient safety, quality, and the patient experience.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate strong initiative and ability to multi-task at a rapid pace with a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and work both collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to effectively present information to employees, department managers, senior leadership, and the Board of Trustees.
Ability to mine data/information, analyze, present results, and design corrective actions.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints.
Ability to exercise calmness in stressful situations, applying sound judgment, and solving problems.
Exceptional relational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
High proficiency in state and federal regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent LFH positively in internal and external meetings.
Demonstrated success in adapting to a complex healthcare environment.
