Oakmont Senior Living is a well-known developer of luxury senior living communities and has built over 50 senior communities in the western U.S. Oakmont is a growing company with a vision to provide housing for the next generation of seniors. Oakmont?s portfolio includes 21 operating communities with additional communities in construction and development.
We are looking to hire a General Ledger Accountant for our development and construction operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis.
Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Complete the month-end process for multiple companies.
Prepare monthly reports for multiple companies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Detail oriented and organized with ability to multi-task.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and also in a team environment.
Great analytical skills needed.
Take initiative, use sound judgement, reasoning and experience to solve problems.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook as well as an ERP system.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
1-2 years prior work experience as a GL Accountant.
Prior work at a property management or development company a huge plus.
Knowledge of Sage Timberline accounting system is helpful, but not required.
