Industrial Contractor in Santa Clara has a full-time position available for an experienced construction accountant. The company is well established and engaged in construction work for Public Agencies. The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate Degree in accounting along with 5-7 years of construction accounting experience.
The ideal candidate likes to work in a quiet office and is experienced in using Vista by Viewpoint Construction Accounting Software and proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). The individual understands construction accounting requirements for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Certified Payroll Reporting, prevailing wage, preliminary notices, conditional and unconditional lien releases. This position is instrumental in handling certified payroll reporting, compliance letters and in collecting paperwork and processing AP and AR so that subcontractors and suppliers can be paid. The position requires an attention to detail, the ability to work with multiple individuals, and multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. The individual hired must be computer literate.
Requirements:
Strong accounting knowledge
Associate Degree in Accounting
5-7 Years construction accounting experience
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Exceptional organization and planning
Works well independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation $70-90k per year, commensurate with experience. We offer benefits including fully paid health insurance, paid vacation, and a pension plan.
