Inside Sales Representative Job Opening in Peabody, Massachusetts - Working closely with Regional Sales Engineers, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing customer service to established and prospective customers. Customer Service includes handling requests for quotes, order entry and changes, lead time requests, expediting and communicating pertinent information back to customers. The Inside Sales Representative is also responsible for overall coordination of information flow to various personnel and departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering and Shipping to ensure that Customer requests and expectations are met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicating with customers and Regional Sales Engineers while providing price, delivery, product and customer service information to ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist customers in a courteous and helpful manner while developing customer relationships and loyalty.
Managing the Returned Materials Authorization (RMA) process to include documentation and tracking progress to ensure customer needs and expectations are met.
Engaging Company resources as needed to resolve customer concerns or identified problems.
Entering customer orders into ERP system and providing customers with order acknowledgements.
Responding to customer requests for expedited deliveries.
Maintaining frequent communication with customer accounts concerning quotations, price, and delivery and order status. Using customer?s internet portal as necessary to assure proper planning and action in response to customer?s production needs.
Preparing spreadsheets and reports as needed to support the Sales department.
Coordinate efforts with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Accounting to assure timely response to customer inquiries and on-time delivery of product.
Accurately records customer information and own customer activities in CRM (i.e. phone calls that would provide useful information for other members of the Sales team).

Ability to multi-task without losing track of the details.
Very strong computer skills (including MS Office)

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
BS/BA or equivalent. AS in Engineering is a plus.
3-5 years of customer service experience preferably in a production or manufacturing environment
Experience with ERP/CRM systems a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to sit, stand, move about, talk, hear, bend and reach with hands and arms
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
All new hires at Harmonic Drive are required to pass a pre-employment physical and 11 panel drug screen.
