Pre-Sales Support/ Application Engineer Job Opening in Omaha, Nebraska - A dynamic software sales and consulting company focusing primarily on aftermarket profitability and the SLM (service lifecycle management) sector are currently seeking to recruit a Pre-sales Support/Application Engineer.
The company have a global reach and are partners with Siemens PLM, Cortona3D, and Just Systems.
You will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the Sales Process. Working in conjunction with the Sales Team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The application engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle. Expectations of the role:
Working closely with sales, take responsibility for all aspects of the technical sale and solution including:
Provide product and technology demonstrations and presentations
Identify customer needs and match products and solutions to those needs
Being responsive to customer queries while managing your time efficiently
Knowledge of the technical publications including Content Management, Publishing, 2D and 3D graphics.
Specific knowledge of our target industries primarily in industrial and heavy machinery, automotive and energy.
Contributes to the achievement of a sales, key account and overall business targets.

Responsibilities:
Actively maintaining a depth of product knowledge in product areas
Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
Maintain awareness of relevant competitor products
Identify relationship between customer pains and challenges with the companies products & solutions. Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators and distributors.
Contribute to the generation and maintenance of product literature such as Value Propositions.
Perform technical/product training.
Travel to project sites to perform start-up, integration and training services.
Educate customers and partner organizations
Provide and deliver product demos and presentations
Provide detailed expertise in creating technical and product solutions for specified needs Accountabilities:
Attend customer meetings with Sales personnel to understand customer needs
Bring customers up to date with company products, services and relevant Value Propositions
Design and deliver demonstrations to illustrate Value Propositions
Contribute technical and product information in response to RFI/RFPs
Run seminars and workshops for Partner organizations as required
Create, present and deliver and events as required
Act as a technical/solution contact for customers
Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values and financial objectives
Identify customers? needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.

Qualifications and Experience
Required:
Degree in Engineering, Technical Field or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry role.
Proficient in MS Office.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Available and willing to travel. Preferred:
Customer Service or Sales Support experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
