Senior Accountant Job Opening in Salem, New hampshire - Comolli & Company is currently seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant to join our growing and well established firm in Salem NH. The candidate must have prior public accounting experience, with strong accounting, tax and Quickbooks knowledge.
Responsibilities
Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and extensions
Develop client relationships and respond to questions and issues as they arise. Work with clients to obtain appropriate information for tax returns and financial statements
Perform accounting work for clients, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and loan account reconciliations.
Perform weekly accounting functions for clients as needed, including all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Sales Tax Liabilities.
Perform general ledger analysis, identifying any inaccuracies or opportunities for cost savings.
Local travel to client locations and training courses.
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic tax laws and GAAP.
2-4 years progressive public accounting experience.
Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to handle multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
Must be organized and able to work independently.
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting.
CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
