Application Developer III Job Opening in Houston, Texas - Current Technology Stack:

The Application Developer III is part of a development team building and supporting enterprise grade software systems and reports to the IT Team Lead. The Application Developer III is involved all phases of the Application Lifecycle, from design to delivery. Demonstrates senior leadership skills and experience in software development and planning.
Essential Functions (In order of importance)
Accountable for owning a domain or small project.
Authors, reviews and approves information, requirements and specification to design and develop solutions for enterprise applications.
Advanced in programming and debugging across multiple features and dealing with external dependencies. Writes high quality extensible code with team and business domain in mind. Ability to troubleshoot complex bug scenarios.
Defines and implements optimizations and reusable code and processes.
Expert knowledge in at least one domain and working knowledge in a second domain.
Actively shares knowledge through peer mentoring, shared resources and informal coaching.
Contributes and enforces process improvements and best practices across the team.
Accountable for domain dependencies and critical paths. Anticipates risks and provides solutions.
Is proactive in keeping peers and direct management well informed.
Effectively communicates ideas in a clear and concise manner bother verbally and in writing.
Responsible for project planning process, project design and project supportability.
Works under general supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of object oriented principles
Strong knowledge of JavaScript Frameworks
Strong knowledge of building web-based applications
Strong knowledge of Database programming
Strong knowledge of SOA, Microservice architectures
Strong knowledge of Cloud based platforms
Strong knowledge of Agile Methodologies
Strong knowledge of best practices and standard for software development
Manages complexity in order to effectively find solutions and solves problems
Drives results by consistently achieving completion and closure of tasks, even the face of obstacles and setbacks.
Adaptive personality and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
A problem solving attitude that can adapt to varying timelines
