As our UI Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing in the latest Microsoft technologies including but not limited to 4.5, AngularJS, CSS, MVC design pattern, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and entity framework. You'll develop in these technologies which requires extensive knowledge and experience with client side user interface technologies, and you'll be responsible for communicating implementation specific issues that are encountered and decisions made for developing the solution and best practices. You'll also develop in enterprise browser based applications.
Responsibilities include:
The Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing user interface and components in support of the FR system, providing industry expertise in current web based development technologies.
Only use approved technologies when developing systems and adhere to department, industry and regulatory standards
Provide support for solutions, including analysis, issue tracking and resolution. Take pro-active ownership of support tasks and see them through to completion
Report progress on development at daily stand-ups and escalate issues or slippage in a timely fashion, identifying remedial action to keep the project on track
Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization. Work within project timelines and budgets. Be able to organize own time, schedule tasks for completion and deliver work to that schedule
Assist in vetting other developer's code
Troubleshoot development and production issues as required
Project/Release Activities
Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
Decision Making Latitude:
Development of technical design. Approval from Director would be needed for larger projects.
Requirements Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Technology, Business or related area. Equivalent experience will also be considered. Experience:
4+ years of experience with Microsoft Technologies (, SQL Server, etc.)
Expert level experience building a complex web UI and maintaining UI design patterns
Expert understanding of web client side including HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
Excellent knowledge of client side web technologies, with building applications with AngularJS framework, and with Bootstrap framework
Preferred Knoweldge, Skills and Abilities:
TypeScript experience
Access and manipulate JSON data from a REST service.
Experience with ORM frameworks
T-SQL, SSIS or other ETL activities
