Staff Accountant Job Opening in Southfield, Michigan - My client, that has been in business for 50+ years manufacturing innovative products that help save lives, is hiring a General Accountant to their fast paced accounting department. The General Accountant reports to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and providing month end, forecast and financial reporting support and managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset activities. Ensure internal control compliance, follow U.S. GAAP and comply with external regulatory laws and ensure corporate and external deadlines are met.
Duties of the General Accountant are include, but are not limited too: Administering fixed assets functions, Balance sheet and sub ledger reconciliation, month end, quarter end and year end financial closes, administer accounts payable functions, administer petty cash, and perform other duties as assigned.
