Bartender and Part Time Cook Needed Job Opening in austin, Texas - Bartender and Part Time Cook Needed Currently looking for a bartender and a part time cook to cover a few weekday shifts. Cook must be able to work 4-12pm Mon-Wed and be capable of working in a fast paced environment. Bartender duties involve: ? Count Drawer at beginning of shift ? Count/Balance Drawer at end of shift and split tipout ? Complete petty cash transactions with various suppliers ? Setup the bar, cut/restock fruit as needed ? Take all cones off/on at beginning/end of shift ? Sarran Wrap keg spouts at the end of the shift ? Replace kegs at the end of shift ? Turn on/off all TV?s and place menus/caddies on tables ? Check the calendar (green book) to see what parties are booked ? Turn on music and do not deviate from standard stations ? Prop open doors (weather permitting) ? Replace Letters in Lighted Sign with Specials for the upcoming day Additional Duties ? Make all drinks and greet customers in a timely manner ? Ring in drinks as they are made ? Do dishes when you?re not bartending ? Restock glassware ? Restock Beer Fridge ? Restock Empty Liquor ? Bus tables and pre-bus as needed ? Polish Wine Glasses to get rid of water spots ? Replace paper towel/TP in restrooms ? Sweep bar as needed/maintain a generally clean environment Additionally, cook duties involve: ? Stay in the kitchen and cook orders as they come?barstaff should not have to search the premises to find you to make their order ? Help with dishes when not busy ? Help restock bar glassware and fruit when not busy ? Help buss tables when not busy ? Help fold silverware when not busy ? Help cut fruit when not busy/as needed ? Stack/Unstack chairs outside ? Help bartender stack/unstuck chairs inside ? Help bartender change out kegs at end of shift/as needed ? Allocated one 10 min break/smoke break every 2 hours?please let barstaff know you?re going on break ? Prep dough, and other items needed for upcoming shift ? Notify Mgr. when you?re out of a critical item ? Take out trash throughout shift and at the end of the night Compensation for cook is $8.50/hr + 10% tipout from barstaff.
