Tech Support Specialist Job Opening in Logan, Utah - Quilt-EZ, LLC, a leader in Long-Arm Quilting Stitching Controls and Robotics, is searching for qualified persons to join our Technical Support Team. This is a full-time position; however, depending upon the successful candidate?s skillset and aptitude a part-time schedule may be negotiable.
At Quilt-EZ we design and manufacture both XY table control systems and high speed servo motor systems for precision stitching control. We also produce software and graphical user interfaces for human interaction with our products. As such, due to the technical nature of our products, we are often presented with opportunities to educate our customers on the proper function of our devices. We also have the occasional device failure which can sometimes be fixed out in the field, but not all the time. We are seeking a qualified individual who can provide excellent support to our customers in the field through expert inquiry and appropriate instruction on a case by case basis.
Job Responsibilities
Assist Quilt-EZ customers, or customers of Quilt-EZ OEM clients, in troubleshooting issues that arise with their Quilt-EZ products. All customer interaction is done over the phone.
Keep records of all phone calls and conversations with customers.
Follow up with customers who have previously contacted Quilt-EZ with issues in order to ensure that they are satisfied with the service they have received.
Work with Quilt-EZ?s engineering team to help identify possible defects with Quilt-EZ products and/or possible product enhancements.
Work with Quilt-EZ?s sales team to better support customers in their respective areas.
Quickly become educated on the basics of all Quilt-EZ products.
In a short period of time become an expert in the operation and function of all Quilt-EZ products.
Assist in the creation of documentation to better instruct product users
Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position should possess the following skills:
Must have exceptional software and hardware troubleshooting skills
Should have excellent analytical and pattern identification skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and standard web browsers
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Google Android, and Apple OS X operating systems. Linux knowledge is a plus
Must be able to independently identify components of complex technical issues and research solutions appropriately
Must have excellent documentation skills
Have pleasant phone manners and demeanor
Must be fluent in the English language, both speech and writing, and be able to communicate complex ideas to anyone regardless of technical background
Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
Ability to process routine daily functions while still meeting the dynamic needs of customers
High school diploma required. An associate?s degree in technology or a related field is preferred, or have two years equivalent experience.
