Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
FMRS Health Systems, Inc. located in Beckley, WV has an opening in Raleigh County for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who has an interest in behavioral healthcare including treatment of substance use disorders. FMRS provides a high quality comprehensive array of behavioral health and primary care services. The successful candidate will work with an experienced team of professionals including psychiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists and social workers.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Performs comprehensive mental health and physical examinations and treatment based on this examination.
Preforms brief diagnostic evaluations of the patient?s health care problems/needs and reviews medications.
Orders diagnostic testing and laboratory testing as needed and evaluates the same.
Consults with supervising physician as needed to determine appropriate treatment for patients.
Responds to patient questions and provides education on use of medication including side effects.
Initiates appropriate evaluation and management for mental health and medical emergency situations including responding to overdose situations with the use of Naloxone.
Documents all services provided as required including written reports of examinations.
Qualifications:
issued through the WV Board of Medicine or the WV RN Board
Applicant must be able to clear all Background Checks
Experience working with behavioral health and substance use populations preferred
