Staff Accountant - Atlantic Beach, FL Job Opening in Atlantic Beach, Florida - We have an immediate need for a high-energy Staff Accountant in a busy real estate office located in Atlantic Beach, FL. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and analyze general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information for accuracy
- Prepare payment by accruing expenses, assigning account numbers, requesting disbursements, and reconciling accounts
- Prepare financial statements and communicate financial information to department heads and managers
- Assist department heads with annual budget preparation
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
- Review and analyze current procedures and recommend changes to improve efficiency
- Handle and manage petty cash accounts
- Communicate with internal and external auditors and comply with requests for information
- Ensure that all closing deadlines are met in accordance with management schedules
- Any other job-related activities at the request of the immediate supervisor
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred
- Minimum of two or more years of related accounting experience required
- Minimum of one or more years of experience in real estate preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, etc.
