Senior Accountant Job Opening in Chula Vista, California - Under moderate supervision will support the Finance department by performing various accounting tasks such as:
Assist with online banking activities such as POS PAY, EFT?s, and stop payments.
Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for month end close.
Financial statement preparation.
Assist with analyzing financial statements and reporting on variances.
Assist with monthly reports and related schedules.
Prepare Property and Sales and Use Returns.
Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory reports.
Assist with annual external audit.
Train and mentor junior staff.
Back up duties assigned to other Senior Accountant.
Preferred attributes of ideal candidate:
Bachelor?s Degree in FinanceExperience and Skills
Four to six years progressive experience in the Accounting field.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Access.
Intermediate experience with general ledger, accounting software packages.
Attention to detail; deadline-oriented; excellent at time management
Good oral and written communication skills
