To expand and grow the business, we are opening a new Systems Engineer position who will work and contribute to the new architecture and a new class of intelligent cloud storage systems.
Systems Engineer - Part Time
The System Engineer must be familiar with the Linux operating system and commands, Ceph storage software, computer architecture, distributed systems, basic storage architecture and high speed networking. Job responsibilities will include:
Building test beds for engineering prototypes
Building Systems from assembling hardware to Installing and configuring the OS
Evaluate application software for client-server computing
Perform benchmark tests
Conduct usability study
Prepare engineering reports
Optimizing Linux and Ceph configurations
The position requires the following qualifications:
Minimum of two years of academic study with major in computer engineering or software engineering
Taken senior-level courses in advanced architecture and algorithm
Completed major projects in high performance systems
Excellent in verbal and written communication
Have a strong desire to learn and create new computer architecture and new systems
Familiar with Linux and open source software (like Ceph) for large scale systems
Expert knowledge in storage architecture and Linux application software
Must be legal to work.
The position is ideal for recent graduates, students who are pursuing their master?s degree or PhD degree in computer engineering or software engineering. This is a part-time position to start. It may become a full-time position depending on the business requirements.
