We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter with at least 5 years experience in the plastic injection molding industry. The applicant should have an engineering background and be able to communicate and interpret concepts and issues relating to projects and opportunities between the customer and Tech staff. The candidate must possess good organization skills, good communication skills (written and oral) and present an appealing image.
Duties include canvassing a specific sales territory and soliciting new sales opportunities for Design, Tooling, Molding, Assembly, etc. from new sources as well as existing customers including managing good relationships with all contacts; following up on all sales leads as they are presented; managing sales activities for active projects within their customer base and being the primary focus of communications between the customer and Tech; participating in design and development activities for new projects as well as resolving issues with mature projects; participating in quoting activities on new and existing projects; submitting monthly reports on sales activities and budget and sales projection data as requested; being a focal point for resolving issues between the customer and Tech; conducting visits to customers within the territory on a regular basis and visits from customers to Tech as needed; and participating in trade shows. The position is home-office based and some overnight travel can be expected.
