The Deck & Fence Company LLC. is a contracting company that performs residential installation of decks, fences, and patios. We service most of central Maryland and are one of the largest deck builders in the state. We are a fast growing company and are well respected in the industry.
Position Description
This is a residential in home sales position. The position involves meeting with homeowners, conducting estimates, executing contracts and maintaining a professional level of customer service before, during and after project installation. The position will be the primary point of contact for the customer and will act as liaison between the customer and the company. This is a 1099 independent sales agent position. The rep will set their own hours and have complete control over their schedule with the exception of training days and meeting days. The majority of leads are provided but self generation is not discouraged. This opportunity does require the rep to use their own vehicle to travel to appointments.
Position responsibilities before the sale
- Scheduling consultations with homeowners
- Building rapport during a needs assessment phase
- Accurately measuring the home and construction site
- Presenting company history and product choices
- Designing deck, patio, and fence projects
- Pricing those projects and presenting finance options
- Closing the sale and executing the contract.
Position responsibilities after the sale
- Assist customers with HOA submissions
- Provide customers with progress updates
- Collect payments from customers
- Review any service requests with customers.
General responsibilities
- Attend monthly sales meetings
- Provide status updates to manager on leads
- Maintain company email and calendar
- Report any construction or service problems to production
The ideal candidate will have/possess
- 3 years of in home sales experience
- Ability to use internet, email and calendar applications
- Smartphone
- Reliable transportation
- Reasonable availability to customers

Compensation and Benefits
- This opportunity is commission plus bonuses.
