Comal County Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that works with the community to provide affordable homeownership for low-income families. CCHFH does not give handouts, we give a hand up. The families in our program work extremely hard for their home and pay an affordable zero interest mortgage. Like any organization, there is a lot of ?behind the scene? work that keeps us moving forward. As the Accounting Intern, he or she will work alongside the Accounting Department to keep all of our financial processes in order.
Intern will:
Assist with Accounts Payable and receivables
Assist with Audit Preparation
Assist Accounting Manager with specific program related projects(including ReStore and Construction)
Assist with month end closing reports and preparation of financial statements
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in graduate or undergraduate accounting or business degree program with an interest in nonprofit management
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
Attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with QuickBooks a plus
Please note this is an unpaid position. Each Comal Habitat Intern must also be able to dedicate at least one Saturday morning each month to us (from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.) for Internship Program purposes. Internship begins asap and Internship end date mid of December (End of Fall Semester).
