Fire Alarm Inspector Job Opening in rockford, Illinois - Fire Alarm Inspector The primary function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site maintenance, inspection and preventive services performed on all fire & security equipment including Notifier. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform fire protection inspections and preventive maintenance services on client Fire Alarm systems. 2. Maintain professionalism with customers ensuring problem resolution in a timely manner. 3. Communicate effective and organized technical information and support to clients. 4. Utilize resources and materials to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks. 5. Monitor and assure the progress and completion of assigned tasks. 6. Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner. 7. Be proficient at and train other less senior inspectors how to follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. 8. Other duties as assigned and pertinent to the position. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Related experience/training preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper inspection of systems and devices. 2. General knowledge and experience with computers including Word and Excel. 3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 4. The ability to obtain NICET level certification. 5. The ability to effectively communicate with clients. 6. Must have and maintain a good driving record. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Previous inspections experience and skills preferred. 2. Good organizational skills. 3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 4. The ability to multi-task.
