Account Payable Clerk Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - General Responsibility: Compiles, processes and maintains accounts payable records
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Sort, match, and record product vendor invoices to data transfers from QB POS software to QB
Researching and resolving problematic invoices in a centralized, high-volume fast paced accounts payable (AP) environment supporting multiple US locations
Reconciles store and warehouse receipts records with vendor invoices
Review and record invoices for overhead expenses
Coding invoices
Set invoices up for payment
Update and maintain vendor database
Able to process and enter 100-200 invoices per week
Audits and verifies expenses reports
Reconciles vendor statements
Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
Maintains account payable files
1099 preparation
Assist with various year end and quarter end processes as assigned
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Provide supporting documentation for audits
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Associates or four-degree in Accounting preferred but not required
Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
Able to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Must have strong work ethics, be reliable, and have a professional and positive attitude
Retail environment experience preferred
Proficient with MS Word and Excel, QuickBooks Enterprise experience a must
