Blackman Plumbing Supply Co. is New York?s finest source of plumbing fixtures, designer lighting, and premium tile and stone. We are searching for passionate sales specialists in the areas of Lighting, Tile, and/or Plumbing. Positions are available on Long Island.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Sales and customer service in a commission based showroom environment serving retail and trade clients. Primary responsibility is to maximize sales volume and meet/ exceed customer expectations.
Previous experience in the kitchen & bath or home décor, and proficiency in solution- based selling and high ticket product sales is preferred. Specific skills required include cold calling, networking, and deal closing.
Clients may include homeowners, , contractors and plumbers. Consistent training and support is provided from both employer and manufacturer reps.

Support of events, promotions and incentives in compliance with policy
Assigned duties as required to support the showroom environment
Business Development and Follow-up
Follow-up calls and emails as required to close outstanding quotes
Thank you calls and notes for all customers
Request for referrals
Participation Requirements
Support team sales effort by providing assistance to all customers
Ensure showroom cleanliness to create an environment conducive to selling
Maintain labeling/pricing
Provide consistent feedback suggestions to improve service and environment
Attend all required staff meetings
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3-5 years previous sales experience in decorative plumbing.
Four-year college degree preferred
Previous experience in project sales, kitchen & bath products, and/or home products preferred
Must be able to travel to Bayport for training.
