About the Job
The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) is accountable to effectively manage the Inside Sales team to schedule and confirm in-home sales appointments. Using various training methods and techniques, like role playing and scripting, the ISM will provide the team with the necessary tools and tips to maximize their effectiveness in their role.
Key Role Accountabilities
Inside Sales
Develops and implements a department budget and operating plan 9 months into the future.
Continuously analyzes department performance against expectations and takes corrective measures to meet plan and budget.
Managerial Leadership Practices
Conducts regular meetings with all immediate subordinate employees to discuss overall business context, plans, and problems.
Assigns tasks, projects or special assignments clearly so employees know what is required of them, how much, by when and what resources are available for them to use to achieve the task.
Appraises how effectively subordinate employees use their judgment and discretion in carrying out tasks and solving problems.
Coaches subordinates to increase their effectiveness in role and to meet expectations.
Decides subordinate pay and merit increases within established organization compensation guidelines.
Selects new employees from a list of job candidates provided by immediate manager.
Provides new employees with effective training in role requirements, working relationships, and company requirements and culture.
Makes de-selection decisions if employees cannot perform the work required and informs own manager.
Continuously improves the systems and processes used to deliver outputs.
Requests additional staff from own manager.
Interacts with other company managers to learn how to support and improve the customer journey.
About You
You are passionate about training, coaching, and developing front-line sales talent. This isn?t just something you think you?d enjoy, you?ve got the experience and the stories to prove it. You?ve also developed your management skillset through your time, at least three years, in a similar managerial role.
As a manager, you have found that balance of maintaining standards and expectations without sacrificing your ability to demonstrate authentic care and concern for your team.
