We are a configure to order, high-growth company for the industrial, medical, and military markets. We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our rapidly growing organization. This position will be working a split shift or second shift. This individual is responsible for effective and efficient production operations and to act as a leadership resource for other areas as needed during assigned shift. This person will monitor the progress of work through the production area to assure an organized flow and identify issues and take action as needed to respond to past due and expedited orders for products and services. They will assist the Production Manager in development of back-up/contingency plans for key resources ? personnel, equipment, facilities and software. This position must understand key manufacturing processes in order to monitor, train, and in trouble-shooting. Promotes positive work environment and attitude among production employees; fosters an attitude of responsibility and ownership among production employees. Responsible for employee safety including compliance with Exlar safety requirements. Provides general technical direction and support to manufacturing operations during off-shift periods. Identifies, investigates and resolves manufacturing equipment / process issues and product nonconformances. Assists the Production Manager with facilities management projects as required; for example, optimization of production area layout, implementation of 5S philosophy, etc. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in a leadership position. A Bachelor?s degree is preferred. Four years in experience in a job shop or multi product line environment (electro-mechanical product experience is a plus). Must have the ability to multitask and have strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a must.
