Software Engineers working in applications or systems development, analyze users? needs and also design, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems. In programming or coding, Software Engineers instruct a computer, line by line, how to perform a function. They also solve technical problems that arise. Software Engineers must possess strong programming skills; however, more focus is placed on developing algorithms as well as analyzing and solving programming problems.
Primary Functions
Work with the product to understand end-user requirements
Talk with customers/end-users to identify problems
Recommend software to development team
Document tasks to ensure that subsequent users can diagnose and fix problems
Help improve code quality by performing code reviews
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
Document and utilize sound software development practices
Remain informed on current (relevant) technology and development standards
What You Will Bring
Education:
Four year college degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field required
Experience and Skills:
1-3 year(s) of previous experience in automation and manual testing on MS Windows, Linux and DotNet platforms and SQL Server and Oracle databases preferred

Familiar and flexible with various software development methodologies
Demonstrable skills in algorithm development and problem solving
Excellent understanding of web standards, web application development challenges, and browser issues
Technical Knowledge:
Programming: C#,
Database: MS SQL Server: T-SQL programming, XML programming, database administration experience
Software Skills: Window 7, Window Server 2008, Window Server 2012, MS Visio
ERP experience with QuickBooks, Peachtree, SAP B1, MS Great Plain, MS Dynamics AX
