Licensed Practical Nurse-Interventional Job Opening in Kansas City, Kansas - General purpose of the job:
This position combines nursing and clerical responsibilities. The clinical setting is an surgical center. The position gathers pre-procedure data, maintains prescription drug logs, coordinates lab draws and manages patients on anticoagulation medications pre-procedure. It provides assistance to the clinical team during pre- and post procedure activities. The position coordinates patient scheduling, maintains patient charts, handles correspondence between physicians and referring providers, and assists with insurance pre-authorizations.
Minimum qualifications:
-Current LPN, licensed in Kansas with minimum 2 years clinical LPN experience in healthcare setting and/or medical billing office.
-BLS certification current
-Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
-Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs), Next Gen preferred
