Jr. Analyst Job Opening in Baltimore, Maryland - Position Description The primary responsibility of the North American Dividends team is to make accurate and timely dividend payments to clients and to provide exceptional client service in a risk controlled environment. The dividend analyst is responsible for supporting the systemic pre-payable position balancing, payable date processing and post payable reconciliation of cash dividend payments made to internal and external clients. Those clients include Hedge Funds, Institutional Investors, Internal Firm Traders, Securities lending Counterparties and Private Wealth Management clients. The daily process includes frequent communication with the aforementioned stakeholders as well as other internal parties such as FCG and Tax. The analyst will routinely examine the nature of cash flows (e.g. return of capital, rights redemption), research the reference data related to their assigned events (e.g. foreign tax withholding), resolve post payable date system related breaks and exceptions and ensure the accurate systemic flow of cash in the firms processing systems. The dividend analyst must have a strong grasp on accounting principles and have the ability to work independently to research and solve problems.
