Systems Administrator (Contract or Contract to Perm) Job Opening in Tucker, Georgia - U.S. Poultry & Egg Association Looking for a on-site Systems Administrator with 3 or more years experience that can start ASAP.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for daily monitoring and maintenance of servers. Responsible for doing regular backup of systems and perform data recover. Monitors and remove any security threats and malware from company systems. Responsible for maintaining requested IT support for affiliated organizations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and maintain systems support for software, hardware and servers: test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all problems.
Plans and directs functions associated with centralized computers and networks, including operation, maintenance, upgrades, backup and recovery systems, operating systems, network cabling and routing, local area networks and external communications networks.
Responsible for developing, maintaining and publishing corporate information security standards, procedures and guidelines. Ensures appropriate security controls are in existence and in force; advises resource owners on formation of appropriate security policies. Creates and develops security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure; determines methods of implementing and enforcing security policies.
Responsible for staying current with improvements in technology, and routinely advising USPOULTRY staff of the availability of same. Maintain familiarity with internal processes for data management in all departments, and advise departments of improvements in technology that could further improve processes. Plans and directs centralized software services, including software applications, programming and ?help desks.?
Responsible for selection, purchase, installation and operation of IT equipment and software.
POSITION SKILLS REQUIRED:
Understanding and tangible experience with distributed computing environments, WAN/LAN technologies, equipment and operations, network security and systems. Must be well versed in the management of multi-tiered or multi-platform environments, software development, technology planning, evaluation of software and hardware, back-up, disaster recovery and compliance and security.
Significant experience in Windows Server 20xx, SQL Server, IIS, and Exchange required.
Project management, strategic and tactical planning and development of policies, procedures and standards.
Ability to set organizational plans (long and short term) in the areas of technology, with the ability to communicate those goals effectively, orally and written, regarding computer and information technologies
