Maintenance Clerk Job Opening in seattle, Washington - Maintenance Clerk Application available at website: Starting Wage $2,824 per month Closing Date: 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, THE POSITION An opportunity exists for a qualified person to become the Maintenance Clerk for the Everett Housing Authority. The person in this position reports to the Facilities and Procurement Administrator. The person in this position must be advanced in Excel, able to handle large amounts of data entry, and be proficient in Word. This position processes and monitors the performance and productivity of approximately 9,000 work orders per year. This full time union position works 37.5 hours per week. The majority of the work is done at the Facilities Office of the Everett Housing Authority. A complete job description for this position is included in the Application Packet. EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES �Processes telephone requests for maintenance work orders from staff and clients; �Opens work orders from requests into the work order computer system �Enters standing work orders and completed work orders from maintenance staff into the work order system; �Files all work orders into unit files; �Ensures all work orders are processed (opening and closing work orders) on the day received; �Processes the necessary paperwork for a unit vacancy packet; �Processes the tenant charge letters from work order information; �Prints bi-weekly timesheets for the maintenance staff and verifies calculations of timesheets to submit to accounting for payroll; �Monitors outstanding inspection work orders and opens work orders as needed for maintenance staff; �Prepares weekly, annual and as requested reports for completed work order reports, outstanding work order reports; MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS �A High School Diploma or GED. �Two years paid office experience. �Two years paid experience dealing with the public. DESIRED, NOT REQUIRED �One year paid purchasing experience �One year paid inventory control experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must be able to sit for an extended period of time. Must have manual dexterity, and ability to use the computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach and lift above shoulder to access inventory. Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to see to assess client needs, hear and speak in person and on the telephone. Must be able to keyboard accurately at a speed equivalent to 55 WPM, and use a calculator at a speed equivalent to 8-10,000 SPM. Valid Washington State Driver's license or ability to obtain one within 60 days, and a good driving record. A felony criminal conviction may bar you from this position; successful candidate will be subject to a criminal background check and must be bondable.
