Accounting Supervisor ($97k w/10% bonus, 401k & Pension) Job Opening in Springfield, Massachusetts - **A Base salary of up to $97k, w/10% Bonus, 3 weeks vacation, 401k and Pension**
This position reports directly to the Controller and is the primary back-up to the Controller
Responsibilities :
Responsible for the integrity of the general ledger, cash management, department budgeting, the billing of our clients, and preparing for board reports.
Provide direct supervision, delegation and prioritization of work to a small team of accounting
professionals.
Manage all aspects of software changes as it pertains to settlement billing, be the Subject Matter Expert for the company and for our Billing Policy in addition to other Finance Department
functions as assigned.
Act in the stead of the Controller as required on project development and other assignments.
Requirements :
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting ( A *Certified CPA is a plus)*
Must Have: 5-7 years of experience as an Accounting Supervisor/Manager, with experience in supervising a staff in the "day to day" Accounting, overseeing and delegating the work.
A minimum of 5-7seven years of experience utilizing an automated accounting system.
Substantial working knowledge of US GAAP , financial accounting and reporting, internal controls, and Sarbanes Oxley
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, proficiency in PowerPoint, and Word * Superior oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment as well as a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
Desirable Qualities :
Experience with Lawson General Ledger System
