Industrial Sales Engineer Job Opening in Mobile, Alabama - The primary function of the Outside Technical Sales is increase profitable sales by developing, maintaining, and growing the company?s OEM/USER customer base in the industrial & mobile markets within a defined territory.
In this position, you will use your sales and product application experience to assist OEMs and users to find system solutions to their needs.
You will be backed by highly skilled and knowledgeable Fluid Power Technical and Design and Inside Sales Teams, who will help you meet and exceed your goals.
This role will require travel within Alabama and the Gulf Coast Regions.
Salary and commission compensation plan based on experience. Benefit and 401K package available.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement business plans to support territory, region, and company objectives.
Establish the following internal reports on customer activities: 1) Value Sales Cycle Reports to report out the following sales activities: wins & losses, target product metrics, sales probabilities, barriers to sales efforts, accounts at risk, etc. 2) Territory Monthly Report to update on business status, market trends, etc.
Assess customer requirements and identify unique needs at targeted accounts.
Design value propositions to drive year over year growth and focus on business sustainability
Collaborate across all components of the Oil-Air Products organization including technical engineering systems and inside sales teams and others to facilitate customer solutions.
Promote product and solution programs, utilizing market and application intelligence, and administer sales processes to ensure that we provide the best value to our customers.
Manage the market introduction of new products to ensure products are adopted quickly) to ensure sales growth.
Assure reliability, accuracy, and relevancy of data in the Opportunity Management Systems (OMS).
Develop and monitor customer contact goals to ensure we grow our markets and gather the voice of the customer (VOC)
Develop, implement and manage territory product support and training strategies for new and existing production products to maintain customer relationships and ensure our customers will want to do more business with us.
Provide product, service and warranty training to customers.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred participation in a Fluid Power/Industrial Technical School from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3 years? experience in a Fluid Power technical field sales role working for a manufacturing or distribution company
Specialized knowledge of business aspects and trends of the Fluid Power industry
Experience in developing target account sales plans, negotiating products, systems and solutions, delivering sales growth results.
Proven ?Value Selling? skills
Computer hardware/software literate with laptop, Microsoft Office, internet, various technical sizing and drawing programs, e-mail.
Strong communication skills, proactive, high energy, self-starter, operates independently from company office(s) and/or home.
