Director of Nursing Job Opening in Fairfield, Iowa - SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield is accepting resumes for the Director of Nursing (DON) position.
SunnyBrook DON Summary:
Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care
Conduct resident care conferences
Report problems to the Administrator, conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
Conduct staff meetings with all shifts
Assume responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations
Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies
Supervise scheduling
Conduct interviews and hire nursing service employees
Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators
Consistently demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability
Work cooperatively with facility administration, nursing personnel, ancillary personnel, all facility departments and consultants
SunnyBrook DON Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse Program with an active Iowa RN license
Previous healthcare related experiences is preferred but not required
Previous personnel management experience is preferred but not required
