Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in New York, New york - We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of talented engineers located in our US (New York) office as they develop, test, and modify solutions to technical problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Agile development of high-quality software products and solutions using Java and Scala.
Monitor and improve existing deployments towards continuous improvement of Socure?s products.
Promptly address bugs with code as identified by clients or via internal testing.
Test developed code for accuracy and completeness.
On-time delivery of code in support of product plans and project milestones.
Report out on product/project status to senior management.
Collaborate on development projects with Socure?s team of engineers located in US (New York) and India (Chennai).
Work well within a fast-paced cross-functional environment with multiple teams including engineering, infrastructure/IT, data science, client support, and business development.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a similar role building web services and REST APIs at scale.
Experience working on projects involving collaboration between data science and software development is a plus.
Strong background in Java and Scala
Experience using SQL databases such as MySQL, PostGreSQL and Redshit and optimizing SQL queries on at least one of these
Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus
Experience with one or more agile project management tools such as Pivotal Tracker, Rally, Jira is a plus.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes is desired.
Experience with building and managing SOA web-services and REST micro services is required.
Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus.
