Job Description
The Sales Engineer or Account executive works as a part of the sales team to encourage and produce project and product sales for the HSI MEP equipment division and the HSI Building Automation department. Sales Engineers (Account Executive) works closely with assigned engineers, contractors, and building owners to promote product, develop and evaluate opportunities, and negotiate deals on behalf of HSI. Salary Range is a base salary of $45K-65K plus commission based on compensation plan.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver Product and technical system presentations to engineers and end users as necessary to increase market awareness
Establish working relationships with assigned purchasing contractors in designated markets
Help develop and enact strategic market plans for business development
Review project documents and specifications with Project Management Team to determine best solution and develop strategic plan
Perform take-offs from plans and specifications as required to successfully assemble proposals when required
Use selection programs to choose appropriate products and systems
Ensure application designs meet applicable standards and codes
Work with other sales team members to coordinate sales efforts and enact sales strategy for each market
Field supervision and/or training of product installation or controls project management as required
Customer visits including formal presentations
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Work overtime as required
Reports to Sales Management as necessary to ensure completion of company goals
Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience
Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Degree
OR, relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years sales experience
Self motivated, goal oriented performer focused on meeting Quota
Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)
Able to read technical documents and plans.
Microsoft Office ? Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience
HVAC System Experience
HVAC Sales Experience
Oracle ERP experience
