Senior Accountant Job Opening in High Point, North carolina - We are a high end furniture manufacture, including the design, fabrication, sale, and has an immediate need for a Senior Staff Accountant. The Senior Staff Accountant should possess an understanding revenue accounting, general accounting principles, financial reporting and a working knowledge of Enterprise Accounting Software, We will need to migrate our system soon. Should be able to manipulate data in excel, and use an aging system. Help with bank reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. The right individual must be a self-starter with a solid work ethic, a stable, successful work history and a professional demeanor. This role will focus on accounting, but will become a hybrid with finance and accounting over time.
Desired and previous experience should include: Monthly, quarterly, yearly close activity Account analysis Sales Tax preparation Journal entry posting Expense Report coding Intercompany reconciliations Work with external auditors as required to provide support when requested Balance sheet reconciliations Management of fixed asset sub-ledger Strong communication and organizational skills Strong Microsoft Excel skills Applicant?s background should also include the following: Accounting degree Minimum 5 years related, professional accounting and finance experience with some background in manufacturing Strong GAAP knowledge Working knowledge of Enterprise Accounting Software Strong, independent, confident self-starter Ability to work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment Stable work background with increased levels of success and responsibility Strong problem solving ability Ability to multitask and manage multiple large to small projects in a cross functional environment Strong knowledge and understanding of company dynamics Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to present and explain information that establishes effective communication lines, persuades others and facilitates understanding This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly focused, self-motivated, team player who enjoys working independently.
