Accounting Manager - Manufacturing Job Opening in Greensboro, North carolina - The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department and will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls, tracking high volume corporate client accounts and building a strong financial team. The successful candidate for this position will report directly to our CFO and play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
Ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedule
Payroll
Responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly payroll for hourly workforce ~100
Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, Human Resources and other departments for proper flow of data
Run reports, make appropriate edits and general data processing
Cash Receipts
Accurately process all cash receipts for the location
Run Daily bank reports and provide to Cash collections as needed
Record Cash Receipts on internal worksheets
Apply cash receipts in company?s ERP and balance cash daily
Complete monthly balancing as directed by Accounting Manager
Bachelor?s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business
7+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of the General Ledger
Experience with Amtech and ADP desired**
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (i.e. - spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data and formulas creation etc.) PowerPoint (presentation creation and editing) and MS Word (document creation, formatting and editing etc.)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly motivated, proactive, willingness to engage and partner
Strong customer focus with analytical, financial, and economic thinking skills
Looking to be developed further and motivated to increase knowledge in Accounting with a concentration on Manufacturing
