Software Developer
Job Summary: The primary function of the Software Developer is to design, develop, test and enhance the company?s software applications includes backend system databases, front end user interfaces and connections between all major sub-systems and or third party products. The Software Developer will leverage a broad range of programming language expertise to configure and maintain software applications.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain, revise and enhance current and future set programs as assigned.
Periodic or emergency system support and maintenance.
Design, program, test, document and implement new programs and application systems as assigned and within designated time commitments.
Follow IT departmental guidelines and procedures.
Honor confidentiality rules governing system access, data access and manipulation, and current and future security rules.
Answer calls and resolves problems for users needing assistance during assigned shift.
Fill in as necessary to support other associates in the data processing department as required.
Ability to work on multiple assignments.
Ability to support remote users in multiple site locations.
Hands on design, configuring, coding, testing and deploying of software applications.
Maintenance and support of applications including performance tuning and bug fixing.
Production and End User Support Activities.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
2+ years? experience in software or applications programming and/or technical operations
2 - 4 years? experience with software development in Visual Basic, Access, XML, ASP, and HTML5
1 - 2 years? experience supporting back end application databases in MS SQL or Oracle
Effective in fast paced environment
working in teams
Creative and effective problem solving skills
Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently
Able to work independently as well as part of the team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills needed.
Excellent organizational skills required.
Excellent problem solving skills required.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills needed
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related years of experience in an MS windows DNA, architecture environment
Programming Certifications preferred but not required
