Entry-Level Systems Engineer Job Opening in Herndon, Virginia - About This Job Opportunity
Optimal Satcom is seeking entry level Systems Engineers to be an integral part of our software development and technical support teams.
Your duties will include:
Satellite Modeling and Satellite Network Data Analysis related to modeling satellites and satellite networks in Optimal Satcom?s software systems, and assisting customers
Algorithm Design, Development, and Testing related to satellite communications (SATCOM)
Technical Regulations including review, understanding, analysis, interpretation, and modeling of ITU, FCC, and other regulations and recommendations, and implementing them in software
Providing Technical Support to Optimal Satcom customers who are users of Optimal Satcom?s products
Training including assisting with development of training materials, and conducting training (within USA and International)
Your Qualifications
To apply you must meet the following criteria:
A Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from a reputable accredited institution with minimum 3.0 GPA
Relevant courses in Analog/Digital Communications, Signal Processing, and Math
Clean background check and references
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence
Additional qualifications that will benefit your application:
Courses in satellite communications
Experience working with software
Good communications and interpersonal skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
