Senior Accountant Job Opening in Petaluma, California - Department: Accounting
Reports To: Corporate Accounting Manager
SUMMARY Amy?s Kitchen is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years accounting experience. In addition, the accountant should possess good reconciliation skills, account analysis skills and have experience with a large ERP system such as Oracle. Experience working with multiple currencies and intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following.
Assist with monthly G/L closing and fluctuation analysis for all entities.
G/L entries.
G/L account reconciliation.
Financial analysis
Manage debt schedules.
Daily cash management and cash reconciliations.
Assist with the annual audits.
Preparation of sales tax returns, VAT and GST returns.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements for multiple entities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory duties.

EDUCATION
A bachelor?s degree from a university with an accounting major with a CPA or MBA preferred,
EXPERIENCE
At least 3-5 years experience in a similar position, with a food company and manufacturing experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
