Community Outreach and Services Manager Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Position Summary
Work Ready Oklahoma (WRO) serves a number of populations, including veterans, the historically unemployed or underemployed, individuals with a criminal background including those re-entering society from incarceration, incumbent workers, low skilled or wage workers, and the long term unemployed. WRO programs aim to demonstrate the value and efficacy, job placement, job coach, and career advancement in ways that make obtaining consistent gainful employment in areas that pay a living wage more accessible to these groups. WRO continuously looks for opportunities to innovate within the workforce development field and, where appropriate, develop and foster social enterprises that include employment opportunities for the populations we serve and whose financial success can be reinvested in the services and resources need to build the WRO model.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Manager, the Community Outreach and Services Manager is responsible for cultivating a network of strategic partnerships and alliances in the community to drive program performance in areas of participant recruitment, service delivery, resource connection and job skill training opportunities as part of the Work Ready Oklahoma Reentry Employment Opportunities (REO) ? Young Adult program. This position will also have oversight and supervisory responsibilities.
The Community Outreach and Services Manager will also work closely with the Senior Program Manager, community partners, and service delivery teams to oversee all facets of the daily operations of the project, and maximize opportunities for the populations served. He/she will have a direct role in developing and facilitating functional community partnerships, managing the hand-off of engagement with partners at key service delivery points to increase the efficiency of service flow and access for participants.
Essential Job Functions
Design and implement a recruitment plan to maximize recruitment for WRO?s young adult reentry population
Manage project resources and project timelines
Oversee the family support and mentoring aspects of the project
Locate and engage community partners to increase participant access to safety-net and support services including but not limited to housing, family reunification, mental and physical healthcare, substance abuse treatment, and legal assistance
Discover and engage community partners to increase participant access to job skills training;
Review funding requests for participant supports and training that will assist participants with attendance and participation in program activities
Act as an internal consultant to service delivery staff in connecting participants to appropriate resources
Support the Senior Program Manager in maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship with key stakeholders
Ensure partners feel supported and communication is clear, intentional, and frequent

Education/Training
Bachelor?s degree and related experience in Communications, Marketing, Human Relations, Psychology, Social Work or related field, required
Experience
Experience managing business and community relationships to achieve objectives and coordinating program activities, required
Proven ability to independently manage and develop new client relationships
Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and customer service skills required
Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Oklahoma is highly recommended
Supervisory experience preferred
Special Requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule, evenings and some weekends
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with mastery level knowledge and experience, preferred
Must have a valid Driver License
Essential Physical Requirements
Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility.
Ability to be mobile throughout the community.
