Medical Assistant Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Immediate opening for an energetic, self-motivated and personable candidate to work as an integrated team member in a Cardiology practice. Friendly, stimulating work environment, encouraging growth and learning. This position is full time days, no nights, weekends or call. Excellent pay and benefits.
Job Summary/Essential Duties:
Performs/directs patient care services including, but not limited to, accurate documentation and timely patient flow
Ensures priority care is provided to patient at all times.
Ensures patient is appropriately prepared for care encounter. Prepares/obtains patient medical records and other pertinent to patient encounter.
Assists healthcare providers with exams, treatments, procedures and testing as directed.
Ensures appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to the above.
Ensures all insurance verification and prior authorizations are checked and obtained for hospital procedures.
Scheduling hospital procedures.
Patient documentation and order entries.
Qualifications
Experience Preferred: Successful completion of internship requirements as defined by graduating school. One or more years of healthcare experience in a health care setting. AMD (Advanced MD) EHR experience a plus. Bilingual, Spanish is desirable, but not necessary.
Ability to: -provide compassionate, empathetic patient care -react calmly, professionally in emergency situations, and in times of conflict resolution -work closely with the providers responding appropriately and timely to provider(s) requests -willingness to learn and broaden clinical to apply computer processes to daily operations -apply all knowledge and skill requirements
