Essential Functions:
Primary responsibility is to assist with monthly closing, prepare statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure that they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly account reconciliations viz. bank, AR and AP ? find discrepancies and make correcting journal entries
Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
Assist with financial and tax audits
Assist with corporate reporting requirements
Other projects as assigned
Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and theories
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadline
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, problem solving and results
Qualifications:
Associate?s or higher degree in Accounting/Finance
2 + years accounting/finance experience
Excellent accounting software user
Experience with Oracle financials and/or other ERP systems a plus, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with very good command over basic formulas & functions, sorting, sub totals, pivot tables, formatting, logical test functions etc.
