Senior Accountant (Construction) Job Opening in Berlin, New jersey - Indeed Hire is partnering with our client Mount Construction to hire a senior accountant to joIn their offices based in Berlin, NJ. This role will focus primarily upon the GL, working with the Controller and Assistant Controller to ensure timely reporting and accurate submittal of financial data.
Responsibilities for the role of Senior Accountant:
Assist in Month end close ensuring all entries are completed within defined timeframe.
Fixed Assets- review company machinery and define depreciation schedule.
Financial statement preparation and reporting.
Job costing- ensuring costs and budgets for each job are allocated correctly.
Balance sheet reconciliation.
Ad hoc reporting- creating internal processes, workflow efficiencies.
Interface with Project Managers and senior management.
Journal entries and G/L maintenance.
Responsible for processing, reviewing, tracking, and general ledger posting of construction draws for multiple projects.
Requirements for the role of Senior Accountant:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with Viewpoint (Construction management software) Ideally.
5+ Years of Construction Industry experience. (Heavy Civil ideally)
5+ Years experience in a senior accountant capacity.
Strong Excel experience (Vlookup, Formulas, Pivot table)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to perform duties in a fast moving environment.
