Junior Accountant Job Opening in Closter, New jersey - We are a well-established CPA firm which has an opening in our Closter, NJ office for a Junior Accountant with one to two years of tax and accounting experience in a public accounting firm.
Successful candidates should display the following skills and attributes:
Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with partners, staff and clients
Able to work independently and efficiently.
Able to assume responsibility to meet all deadlines
Knowledge of Ultra Tax, QuickBooks, Excel, and Word a plus.
Responsibilities to include:
Preparation of corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual tax returns which include schedules C and E.
Responsible for tax journal entries
Prepare/Review quarterly, monthly and yearly income tax provisions
Examine financial accounts and analyze data
Perform tax research and special projects as needed
Responding to tax notices.
Preparation/Review of client write up work.
Preparation of audit, review and compilation workpapers and financial statements a plus.
This position will require tristate travel. A car is required.
