Quality Control Engineer Job Opening in Dover, New hampshire - Our technology team is growing, so can your career! They will have prior hands-on development and/or testing experience in building medium-large scale Web applications and/or mobile applications. A strong software engineering background with the motivation and drive to produce high-quality software products will be ideal for this position. The candidate should be interested in new technologies and able to learn new applications quickly.
Responsibilities
Own all aspects of application software testing including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, API testing and performance testing
Provide Software QA testing expertise to the Technology team
Collaborate with Product, Application and Mobile development and Data science teams, and define appropriate testing strategies and procedures required to produce high-quality software products
Work closely with product development to design test scenarios, test plans and test data
Help the Technology team continue to improve code quality and code standards by actively engaging with data scientists, web application, and mobile application teams
Establish performance testing methods and techniques such as load testing, concurrency testing, and scalability testing
Develop, execute and maintain automation testing methods and tools for customer-facing web-scale applications
Design and execute mobile application testing of Weather Analytics iOS and Android applications
Work closely with other QA engineers in managing defect backlogs and priorities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least 4 years of work experience, or Master's degree in a technical discipline with at least 2 years of work experience; relevant work experience is considered
Must have at least 2 year of experience in Web Application testing
Must have at least 1 year of Java programming experience, and using relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
Experienced in translating product requirements into test plan and test cases
Strong subject matter expertise in Functional, Integration and User Acceptance Testing
Prior experience in automation testing, familiarity with using automation frameworks/suites such as Serenity or Selenium, and experience in mobile application testing preferred
Experience in Performance Testing of Web Applications and Services is desirable
